There seems to have been a lack of updating lately. I’ve been so busy, and that’s not to say that I’m not still busy, but I wanted to give the internet a little attention. The weather here is amazing. It’s been in the low 80s/high 70s and it’s absolutely perfect. I cannot complain. Sweater weather. I love it.
School has been consuming my life. I can’t seem to...
Chicago 2016 →
Chicago is a candidate city for the 2016 Olympics. With endorsements from Michael Phelps and various other Olympians plus support from people like you, we can bring the Olympics back to the States and to one of the greatest cities in our country!
Meghan’s here. I’m really tired and we’re talking about Sarah Palin.
College fair was awesome. I got so many pens and stickers. Superrr!
College fair tonight. I’m pretty much dead set on where I want to go, but maybe I’ll change my mind tonight or something. Maybe.
I’m frustrated because when I posted this afternoon I noticed that something was up with my page. When I went to check it out, all of the colors just went back to the default and now it’s all out of whack. I put a new banner at the top of the page hoping to add some more color, but everything looks out of place. Anyone want to help? I’d appreciate it so much!

I love this website! They always have the greatest bands on there and the owner, Elyse, is the sweetest girl. I met her back in February at a concert and I found her on Flickr. I talked to her for a while and she told me about her website. I love it. I wish my website could be as cool as her’s, but unfortunately it isn’t. Go check it out!

I’ve updated with photos from Gustav, Ike, and a retreat I went on. More to come soon.
So I was on the interstate this morning and I saw a big van with a trailer. We got next to it and I started waving like a maniac. The back windows were tinted, so I couldn’t see who it was, but recognized the driver. I really want to know what it was. They got off of I-12 at the Covington/Madisonville exit. I just want to know who it was. Anyone know who was passing through Covington, LA on...
There is water flooding my room, which is awesome. We had these people pressure washing our windows and all of a sudden water starts spraying all over my room. Apparently my window wasn’t shut all the way and that’s how the water got in. But it’s strange because in the nearly 5 years that I have lived in this house I have never once opened that particular window. That means...
I’m going to Washington DC this spring! I’m so excited!
I finished reading New Moon. I’m such a dork. Haha. I finished a 563 page book in one day. I didn’t know that I could do that. I guess I just need to find more books that hold my interest.
I’m really excited because Chicago is a candidate for the 2016 Olympics! I’m already saving up for the 2012 London Olympics, but if Chicago gets picked, then I get to go to two Olympiads...
N.E.R.D and Angels & Airwaves have just been added to the VooDoo Fest line-up. So stoked.
I finished reading Twilight. I never intended to read it, but my sister had Lizz’s copy of the book and I decided to read the first chapter just to see if it was as great as everyone said. It was! I couldn’t put it down. I started it the night before last and was up until 5:30am reading. That’s how good it is! I completely lost track of time. I finished it last night and I cannot...
Hurricane Journal Five: The Damage
September 3, 2008 6:23pm Wow, this is the first time I’ve been on the computer all day. This afternoon we decided that we wanted to see what it was like down by the lakefront so we drove to Mandeville. It wasn’t terrible looking, but there was definitely damage and you could see where the water had come up to. The lake was so high; the water was almost up above the wall and I kept...
Hurricane Journal Four: The Aftermath
September 2, 2008 1:03pm I just woke up. I slept with only my ceiling fan last night, but it wasn’t too bad. Just a little stuffy and my whole house is humid. Outside looks like a war zone. Trees are down everywhere, my whole pool deck is covered in pine needles and leaves, and part of our yard is flooded. It’s still raining off and on, but the sky is sunny and the wind has died down....
Hurricane Journal Three: The Storm
September 1, 2008 8:35am On the Weather Channel they just said that a tornado is headed northeast of Madisonville- towards me. So this might be the last thing I write lol. Everyone in my house is still sleeping except for me, Taylor’s parents, Zander’s mom and sister, and my grandmother. The rain isn’t bad at all. It rained harder a few weeks ago when we had those strings of...
